India has a very small number of legitimate Doctors in Chiropractic. Pre-pandemic there were about a dozen chiropractic clinics nationwide. Post-pandemic there are only a half dozen remaining chiropractors. This is tragic news to report and it only highlights the important value of Chiropractic India’s mission to advance the chiropractic profession by developing educational programs in select universities and setting standards for Chiropractic in India.
In light of the prevailing conditions, there have been many therapists falsely claiming to be chiropractors or offering chiropractic treatments. The Indian Public needs to beware of such fake chiropractors and the risks associated with this fraud. The only reason a fake chiropractor would make such a claim is so that they can charge the public a higher price, thinking to dupe the public into that they are qualified, while they are endangering the people. Public Beware! Always ask to see their foreign Doctor of Chiropractic diploma, since there are no local educational programs in India issuing such diplomas. Only a Doctor of Chiropractic graduate can provide legitimate chiropractic care. The Chiropractic Diplomatic Corps has filed a formal complaint to relevant authorities regarding the false advertising made by these fake chiropractic therapists.
